What happened to the ISDE 2022 Congress in Tokyo?
ISDE 2022 was planned as a hybrid conference in Tokyo, Japan. Due to the ongoing global pandemic, the hybrid conference is now transitioning to a virtual conference September 26 – 28, 2022.
What will be the format of ISDE 2022?
ISDE 2022 will be delivered via a Virtual Platform.
When will I be able to submit a presentation abstract?
The abstract submission process is now closed. Thank you to all who have submitted.
When will participant registration open?
Registration is now open. You can view the ISDE 2022 registration rates here.
I am interested in exhibiting and/or sponsoring ISDE 2022, who should I contact?

Will I be able to see a list of all delegates?
All registered delegates have access to the ISDE 2022 Virtual Platform, provided they don’t have any outstanding fees. The ISDE 2022 Virtual Platform will allow delegates to network and connect with all other delegates who have consented to sharing their profile. Access to the ISDE 2022 Virtual Platform for registered delegates is anticipated to open a few days prior to the Congress.
When and where will ISDE 2023 take place?
ISDE 2023 will be held September 8 – 10 in Toronto, Canada.
Registration Cancellation & Refunds
Now that Congress has transitioned to a virtual format, what happens to my ISDE in-person conference registration?
Delegates already registered for the in-person Congress will automatically have their registration changed to virtual and the fee difference refunded.
Registration cancellations received on or before August 25, 2022 (23:59 JST) will be eligible for a refund, less a USD 50.00 administration fee. Cancellation requests received after August 25, 2022 (23:59 JST), will not be refunded. If you have any questions, please contact ISDE2022email@example.com.
What happens to my onsite costs?
Now that the Congress has transitioned entirely to a virtual event, all travel, accommodation booked outside the Congress blocks, and related onsite costs will not be refunded by ISDE nor the ISDE 2022 conference organisers. Such costs, cancellations or refunds are not the responsibility of ISDE nor the Congress organising committee.
Can I transfer my Congress registration to another person?
Yes, you may transfer your registration to another person by sending your request to ISDE2022firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can I change the details in my registration record?
Yes, you may change your registration details by sending your request to ISDE2022email@example.com.
What is the cancellation policy for Sponsors and Exhibitors?
Our Sponsorship Manager will be in touch with each confirmed Sponsor and Exhibitor individually to plan for their transfer or cancellation.

Access to the Virtual Platform
Access to the Virtual Platform will open a few days before the Congress, to give you a chance to network with registered delegates and exhibitors ahead of the main conference dates, September 26 – 28, 2022. Please keep an eye out for emails from “Pheedloop” in the email account you used for registration. The will include important login details. . If you do not receive the email with the virtual platform link, please check your spam/junk folder.
How do I access ISDE 2022?
Log in with your registration email address and the password provided in your ISDE 2022 Virtual Event Portal Access email sent to you.
Your Online Profile
Once you are logged in, you can update your profile and select the visibility of your profile by clicking on the “Account” tab.
We strongly recommend using a modern browser to participate in the virtual event. Specifically, we suggest Google Chrome for its security and feature compatibility. If you would like to download it, please follow this link.
A high-speed internet connection is recommended to participate in sessions without experiencing interruptions. If the stream is working, but the audio or video seems choppy, it is possible your internet connection is too slow, unstable, or bandwidth is being utilized elsewhere.
What is the recommended bandwidth to attend the Congress?
For the best experience, we recommend at least 1.2 Mbps download speed.
I can see the video, but I do not hear any sound
Ensure your speakers are not muted, none of the controls on the stream (if available) are muted, and no other tab is occupying your audio channel.
I am having audio issues
Please make sure you clicked on “Join Computer Audio” on the session screen when it opens.
You may also re-click on the session name (left side) to refresh the stream (DO NOT refresh your browser; this will cause you to log out of the session). If your sound issue continues, please exit, and re-enter the meeting. During live broadcast hours, you can also connect with us via the LiveChat in the bottom left corner of our screen. If you are watching presentations on tablet/ phone, you may consider using a headset.
Enter a full screen mode for the best presentation experience – click “Full Screen” (top right corner of the presentation screen)
What happens if I am registered but cannot make it to the Virtual meeting?
The presentations will be recorded and made available on the platform shortly after the live broadcast, and will be available for on-demand viewing until December 31, 2022.
Can I download the presentations to watch when not connected to the Internet?
Unfortunately, no. You will require a high-speed internet connection to stream the presentations.
